Dr. Antonino Cusumano (male) is an Associate Professor of agricultural entomology at the SAAF Department. He received a PhD in Entomology in 2010 and subsequently has worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Wageningen University (Netherlands) and university of Montpellier (France). He has also worked as guest researcher at Texas A&M University (USA). He has received funding from several national and international funding agencies, including a prestigious Marie Curie individual fellowship in 2016. His interest is focused on herbivore-plant-microbe interactions, insect ecology and biological pest control. He has published 59 papers in leading journals in the field including PNAS, Ecology letters and Annual review of entomology. He has an h-index of 19 and >1000 citations on topics related to entomology, biological control and plant science. He has coordinated or participated in projects granted by national and international founding agencies, as well as projects funded by biological control industries. The team is also composed by:

Prof. Stefano Colazza (male) is a Professor in Entomology and the Head of the SAAF Department. His research focuses on infochemicals and the behavioural ecology of parasitoids, with the goal of developing sustainable control programs for crop pests.

Prof. Ezio Peri is Professor in biological pest control at the SAAF Department. His research focuses on conservation biological control and how to use companion plants to enhance the performances of natural enemies of pests in agroecosystems.

Dr. Tuğcan Alınç (male) is a postdoc at the SAAF Department. He received his PhD in Entomology in 2023. His current research activities focus on chemical ecology and plant-microbe-insect interactions.

Evgenia Sarakatsani (female) is a PhD student at the SAAF Department. She is a graduate from the Agricultural University of Athens (Greece) with a master in Biological Sciences: Ecology and Evolution from the University of Amsterdam (the Netherlands). Her current research activities focus on biological pest control and plant-microbe-insect interactions.
